Rhododendron to all those who disappeared in April
In memory of all our friends victims of the April earthquake
Ashok SILWAL
The red rhododendron,
Our wonderful national emblem.
It is the official heraldic symbol
Of our country.
Its flowers compound a garland,
A sort of crown around Mount Everest.
The green hills at its feet
Form the background
Of a white country map.
At the top is our national flag
The only one with this shape
In the world.
Down, two hands are shaking
One female and one male.
Below, our country’s motto is:
“The mother and the mother country are bigger than the sky”
The dominant colors are red, blue and white.
And, in this period ,
Mountains are also turning red
With the “Lali Guras” blooming lushly
For the astonishment of our eyes,
Holding a special place in our hearts,
Distributed in the Hilly Belt of our country:
Tinjure, Milke ans Jaljade of Terathum district.
Rhododendron means “red tree”:
And actually from dark red to pale rose and even white.
A little “dangerous” because containing toxins…
Do not ingest!
But symbolizing riches and prosperity
And kissing your dreams with energy.
For this reason, today,
I want to dedicate this wonderful flowering
To all those who disappeared in 2015…
I want to sent these red flower balloons
To the sky
As a sign of HOPE..
LONG LIVE NEPAL!
BLESSED BE NEPAL!
