DEMOCRITUS (‘judge of the people’) was an Ancient Greek philosopher, one of the founders of ATOMISM.

According to Democritus, all reality is made up of atoms that move incessantly in a vacuum. The incessant movement leads the atoms to aggregate and separate, giving birth, transformation and death of all that exists. Things are therefore combinations of atoms.
But he does not just write philosophy, and today, the editor (Ashok Silwal), as he did also in last weeks, offers you a meaningful little story.

The Truth and the Lie one day they met.

The Lie said to the Truth: ‘Today is a wonderful day!’

The Truth looked up at the sky and sighed because the day was really nice.

They spent a lot of time together, finally arriving next to a well.

The Lie then turned to the Truth and said: ‘The water is very beautiful, let’s take a bath together!’

The Truth, once again suspicious, yes, she ascertained about the water conditions and realized which was really very beautiful.

They undressed and began to take a bath.

Suddenly, the Lie came out of the water, put on the dressed in Truth and she ran away.

The Truth, furious her clothes were stolen, came out of the well and ran everywhere to find the Lie and recover her clothes.

The world seeing the naked Truth, looked away with contempt and anger.

The poor Truth then returned to the well and she disappeared forever, hiding in it ashamed of her.

Since then, the Lie has wandered around the World, dressed up as the Truth, satisfying the needs of society, because the world, in any case, has no desire to meet the naked Truth.

‘WE KNOW NOTHING OF THE TRUTH BECAUSE THE TRUTH IS IN ONE WATER WELL’, Democritus.
