WELCOME SPRING, WITH HOLI UPON US!

Dahlia Tera

Most feel spring in the air
With the sprouting of buds,
With the blooming of the first flowers.
After the cold and snowy months,
They are violets, primroses, crocuses,
Tulips, snowdrops, daffodils,
And our beautiful red national rhododendrons.
Tired of the black and white winter,
They explode in thousand colors
Bringing joy and life, dynamic sense of rebirth.

I love them all, madly:
They are words of life and love, of enthusiasm.
They talk about energy and spread it.
They are smiles from nature.

But my body craves heat and light
And it is the first to feel spring.
Through all my five senses, close to my skin.

Am’ I a bit a bear perhaps or a marmot
Which slowly awaken after hibernation?

The first rays of sun that warm
Seem like a miracle to me.
I feel them penetrating my flesh,
I look for them with my face, straining my neck,
I desire to be naked, I want their caresses,
I would like to drink them as nectar.
I wish for my skin burning,
Back, chest, belly, legs.
I feel my joints stretching out.
I spread my arms shamelessly.
The eyes are closed as in prayer,
Inhaling the new air and its perfumes.

Even before the colored flowers,
“My” spring is lying on the ground,
Hard concrete of the roof terrace
Fresh grass of the field in countryside,
It doesn’t not matter….
I just want to pave the way for the sun.

My hands want to clap,
My voice wants to sing,
My lips want to smile.
Energy from all pores, doors of sensuality,
With my disheveled hair.
And the mind, the heart , the soul
Are light, carefree, enjoying the well-being
To belong to the Creation,
In the spring renewal
Waiting for the auspicious Holi festival
And its colored euphoria.

WELCOME SPRING!
