GRATEFULNESS

May Nepalnamcha and its editor, find, in these few lines, the expression of my gratitude for the place always dedicated to Poetry and Art in general.

Art saves us from a world when man is increasingly in a hurry and prisoner of necessity, too often prey to hatred and anger.

Reflecting on reading, on writing, on use of words on artistic creation, in Poetry, Music, Painting … their ways and their fruitful meanings, are fundamental steps.

So, thanking again, I would like to share here these ‘playful’ but very deep words by Eugène IONESCO (1909-1994) Romanian playwright ans essayist:

‘UNDERSTANDING THE USEFULNESS OF THE USELESS AND THE USELESSNESS OF THE USEFUL, IS UNDERSTANDING THE IMPORTANCE OF ART THAT KEEPS US FROM BECOMING SLAVES AND ROBOTS.’
